A resident from The Fountains at Greenbriar was recently featured in a segment on Fox 4 KC for his pledge to make 500 beanie hats for children born at Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Patrick McVey, who started crocheting in honor of his late mother, spoke about the importance of learning skills from others, especially seniors.

“If there’s something an [older] member of your family knows how to do, take the time. Spend the time with them to learn,” he said.

The Fountains at Greenbriar is a vibrant Independent Living community for today’s active seniors. With a number of innovative programs, including adult education through Watermark University, residents enjoy countless opportunities to learn and grow every day.
