On May 4, Watermark received the good news that 23 of our communities earned the “Best” rating from residents and their families in the 2023-2024 Best Senior Living program of US News & World Report.
As a part of the program, Watermark’s partnership with Activated Insights, a nationally recognized research organization, generated valuable perceptions from nearly 3,000 of our residents and families who participated in a survey this past fall. The overall program incorporated data from more than 250,000 surveys from residents and family members at over 3,500 senior living communities nationwide.
Our residents overwhelmingly rated Watermark communities positively in their experiences of safety, friendly dining staff, and attentive and respectful caregivers at or above 87% in all three areas.
Among Watermark’s significant comparisons to other senior living communities participating the program, only 11% of residents surveyed self-reported that they experience loneliness compared to the national benchmark of 26.6%.
The May 2023 edition of the US News & World Report lists each “Best” community by level of care (independent living, assisted living, memory care and continuing care) with an online profile page detailing the “best” rated areas and including resident/family testimonials.
